Marchetti truck-mounted cranes 40–180 t
A mobile crane on a truck chassis that reaches the site in normal traffic: up to 180 t lifting capacity, up to 57.5 m lifting height, and a 32 t gross vehicle weight for the base machine of the large models. We handle everything from chassis selection and commissioning to authorised service.
* Manufacturer data. The 32 t is the gross vehicle weight of the base machine without counterweight (MTK 1005II, 1006, 180L); the counterweight is transported separately. The actual value depends on the chassis and configuration.
What do you need to lift, and where?
The right model depends on the load, the required height and the size of the site. With 80–180 t capacity, the large models are the cranes for construction and industrial installation; the compact models are built for daily work with frequent site changes.
Precast elements, steel structures
80–180 t lifting capacity for halls, bridges and precast concrete elements.
High-rise construction, roof installation
Up to 57.5 m lifting height with jib.
Machinery installation, industrial equipment
Installing heavy machinery, transformers and building services units.
Urban, confined sites
Compact outrigger base, agile chassis, daily site changes.
Your own crane in the fleet
A road-going crane of your own instead of call-out fees and crane hire.
Crane services and crane hire
Quick relocation between jobs, at the running costs typical of a truck chassis.
The Marchetti truck-mounted crane range
Five models from 40 to 180 tonnes, all built on standard truck chassis: the MTK 40 on a 3-axle chassis, the others on 4-axle (8×4) chassis. Without counterweight the base machine of the heavy-duty models has a gross vehicle weight of 32 t; the counterweight is transported separately.

How heavy, and how high?
Based on the weight of your heaviest lift and the required height and working radius, we tell you which Marchetti model and which chassis suit the job.
A mobile crane that travels like a truck
Marchetti mounts the crane superstructure on a standard truck chassis. The crane therefore travels in normal road traffic, PFS services the superstructure as Marchetti’s authorised service partner, and according to the manufacturer the running and maintenance costs are lower than for a special crane carrier.
On the road without a special permit
Without counterweight, the base machines of the MTK 1005II, MTK 1006 and MTK 180L have a gross vehicle weight of 32 t; according to the manufacturer they can therefore travel on roads and motorways without a special permit. The counterweight is transported separately.
Standard truck chassis
IVECO, Volvo, Scania, MAN, Astra or Mercedes-Benz chassis with 3 or 4 axles. The crane is serviced at PFS, the authorised Marchetti service partner; the chassis can also be maintained in the truck manufacturer’s service network in Hungary.
High capacity, great height
From 40 to 180 tonnes; 31.5–40 m telescopic boom, 46–57.5 m lifting height with jib.
Counterweight without an assist crane
On the MTK 1005II, MTK 1006 and MTK 180L the counterweight (8–15.9 t) is fitted by hydraulic cylinders controlled from the crane cab.
Operation from the crane cab
On the MTK 1005II the working area limiter and the carrier drive can be operated from the crane cab; the outriggers of the MTK 180L can be operated from the cab and from both sides of the chassis.
In confined spaces too
The MTK 1005II and MTK 1006 can also work with a partial 4.75 × 4.2 m outrigger base, at reduced capacity.

Comparing with an all-terrain (AT) crane?
For the same lifting task we provide an itemised Marchetti quotation, so you can compare it objectively with Liebherr, Tadano or Grove all-terrain cranes.
The brand names mentioned are trademarks of their respective owners. Premium Flow Solutions Kft. is not a distributor of these brands.
What is worth comparing?
- lifting capacity at the working radius you actually need (load chart)
- gross vehicle weight, number of axles, whether road travel needs a permit
- transport and fitting of the counterweight
- purchase price and chassis maintenance costs
- service, spare parts and operator training in Hungary

What is a truck-mounted crane?
A telescopic-boom mobile crane whose crane superstructure is mounted on a standard truck chassis. It travels on the road like a truck, so it can be relocated quickly. It is not the same as a knuckle-boom loader crane, which has a much lower lifting capacity.
What is the lifting capacity of Marchetti cranes?
The truck-mounted range comprises five models: MTK 40 (40 t), MTK 60 (60 t), MTK 1006 (80 t), MTK 1005II (100 t) and MTK 180L (180 t). The weight that can actually be lifted depends on the working radius, boom length and outrigger base, as set out in the manufacturer’s load chart.
How high can Marchetti cranes lift?
They reach a lifting height of 34–43 m with the telescopic boom and 46–57.5 m with the jib. The highest value is the MTK 60’s (57.5 m); the longest telescopic boom belongs to the MTK 60 and MTK 1006 (40 m). According to the manufacturer’s load charts, the max. working radius is 28–36 m on the boom and 40 m with the jib (approx. 46 m for the MTK 1006).
Does a Marchetti crane need a route permit?
Without counterweight, the base machine of the large models (MTK 1005II, MTK 1006, MTK 180L) has a gross vehicle weight of 32 t, so according to the manufacturer they can travel without a special permit; the counterweight is transported separately. In Hungary the maximum permissible gross weight of a 4-axle vehicle is 32 t; in our quotation we verify the axle loads and dimensions for the specific chassis.
Which chassis can a Marchetti crane be mounted on?
On a standard truck chassis: the manufacturer names IVECO, Volvo, Scania, MAN, Astra and Mercedes-Benz. The MTK 40 requires a 3-axle (6×4) chassis, the other models a 4-axle (8×4) chassis.
What does PFS provide beyond the purchase?
The entire process: choice of model and chassis, mounting the crane on the chassis, commissioning and handover, followed by authorised service and spare parts supply from our site in Ercsi.
